Silhouette’s BlackBerry Giveaway

You saw the banners around tHe Spring promoting the BlackBerry Giveaway by Silhouette. You wanted to try your luck, but in your thoughts, you disproved it without giving it a shot. You thought that it was too good to be true, but for one Miss Isabel Lim, her curiosity, luck and strong resistance towards beer actually won her a brand new BlackBerry Bold 9700.

Yes, I am actually happy for her at this time of writing, despite the fact that I was pulling my hair out that night for being so close and yet so far. That one last number actually killed it for me, and I ended up going home with nothing (except a glowstick). So, from the deepest depths of my soul, I’d like to say: sorry, team. If I did get it though, you would be reading a review of the device itself instead. Unless of course, a kind soul out there is willing to offer Shiok! a working unit to review. ;)

Of course, not everyone went home empty handed.

Our favorite young producer, Morgan Then, who has been featured numerous times was also there..and he won himself the consolation prize, an aptly colored, green jacket from Heineken. Appreciating the good stuff, he would slap any pair of hands close enough to touch his brand new jacket. Seems like an awesome enough start to 2010, don’t you think? Here’s to a brand new year people! Have a great 2010!
